Synopsis	The symposium will open with a discussion on Dry Eye Disease patients and the fact that it is a complex and often underdiagnosed disease. Gaining a better understanding on the impact of the disease to the patient will lead to physicians' putting more emphasis on proper diagnosis in actual clinical practice. This will be followed by a talk on the Korean Dry Eye Diagnosis and Treatment Guideline which was done by the Korea Corneal Diseases Study Group of the Korean External Eye Disease Society. The guideline's effectiveness was confirmed in a study done among 1,700 Korean dry eye patients over a 6-month trial.
