Synopsis Clinical applications of the SPECTRALIS product family relevant to general ophthalmologists as well as experts are being presented. Posterior Pole Asymmetry Analysis of ganglion cell depth and its correlation to visual hemi field analysis has become important for early glaucoma diagnosis. Digital gonioscopy with anterior segment OCT offers a true alternative to contact gonioscopy in an easy to perform non-contact assessment of narrow angle glaucoma. Multi-modality imaging has revolutionized retinal imaging in that SD-OCT can be performed simultaneously to MultiColor, BluePeak blue laser autofluorescence, fluorescein and ICG angiography. The RPE health check of BluePeak metabolic mapping of retinal photoreceptor and pigment epithelium integrity has brought a new dimension to non-invasive imaging relevant to general ophthalmic assessment. The functional correlation of BluePeak becomes quantifiable through RegionFinder measurements of atrophic retinal areas.
